‘Rachel had been on my radar through Instagram from before we even made the final decision to host the wedding up in Maine. I'd seen her work at the Friends of Acadia benefit as well. She, in turn, was the first person I reached out to regarding the planning of the wedding once the decision was made to have our wedding up North. There were a few key reasons we chose to go with her - and we actually didn't interview other planners: 

• She is local to the area and lives on Mount Desert Island. Since we were almost 100% planning this remotely, it was a priority for us to have someone hyper-local to the area.

• Her personality. We felt immediately like it would be a good fit. Not only does she have a great personality and brought a lot of life to the planning process, she was also super accommodating. She was more than happy to listen to our ideas and then help us hone into what exactly we actually wanted, all while presenting fun alternatives that we hadn't even considered. Additionally, she was flexible in working with our busy schedules. 

• Her quick thinking -- due to the bad storms this year, we found out in late March that our rehearsal dinner location wouldn't be open in time for the wedding. That same week, she had a handful of alternatives lined up and ready for us to choose from, all of whom were available and happy to step in and save the day!

In sum, we REALLY enjoyed working with her and I'd be lying if I wasn't looking for another excuse to throw a party so we could plan another event with her!’
